2/ with hospitals and tell them. That person SHOULD be able to say: NO that's not true. Governor has directive to immediately info. us of capacity issues and patients must be transferred to another hospital. Competent team would have that info & policy right?
3/ But even an incompetent team without that information wouldn't just shrug. "What? I'm calling X at Henry Ford now to coordinate transfer of patients." 2 minutes later: That's false. That policy is NOT in place." So seriously, what went down internally, if anything?
4/ Did Bagley not even share what he thought was dire situation at Henry Ford with others working on coronavirus for Governor? If so, that's outrageous! Or did he not share because he knew it was false? If so, that's outrageous!
5/ And if he did share it with governor's office, it's outrageous that the team didn't know within 5 minutes it was not true. There's just NO possible scenario that doesn't expose either incompetent or politicizing of the pandemic.
6/ No wonder @nicholas_bagley ignored multiple emails/phone messages. Also of interest that I didn't receive an automatic reply to my email saying he was working with Governor re coronavirus, while earlier that was message another reporter received.
