We in faith communities must keep repeating as long as is necessary that foolhardiness is NOT faith. We are all going to get tired of this before time’s up and we get to be together again but we must persevere. We are seeing in the news what happens when we think we are exempt.
“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” Gal.5:13-14
This is a time when our arrogance to think nobody gets to tell us what to do isn’t just unwise. It is deadly. When authorities tell us to quit preaching the gospel and speaking in Christ’s name, that’s a whole different story but that’s not the case. The gospel is on the loose.
