Keep acting like you know it all.

1.) They don't know how long this virus has been here
2.) We're not doing a great job slowing the spread
3.) Government mandated- business & job shut downs will bring this country into a recession you've never seen

They are winging it.
And when it's all said & done, maybe the shut down saves lots of lives. I have no problem admitting that. Maybe they find out it's been here for a year & the shut downs had zero effect. Maybe they made them worse with being inside all day. At what cost? Your freedom & livelyhood.
And if every life matters (it does) then why are people mad when you crunch other numbers? Overall death rates may be down because of the shut down.

& if you allow the government to shut down everything to save lives, this far reaches coronavirus whether you think so or not.

My point is pretty simple. Stay calm. Stay grateful. Stay optimistic. But millions of people need immediate help. And that number will increase as the shut down ages. So having faith is great. But a lot of people could use help right now!
And these people don’t feel calmed when you tell them to relax for a few months when they have no money, no job or lost their business.

It’s not mathematically or financially possible for millions of people to do that.

They are looking for solutions. So let’s provide them.
I’m not waiting for the government to help these people and everyone with excess right now should consider that.

Our whole philosophy is small government & government doesn’t do most things properly.

The government isn’t prepared for this right now & we can fill in the gaps.

I apologize for being frustrated. My frustration comes from libertarians cheering on authoritarian in Democrat states and completely ignoring millions of people who’s small businesses are taking a beating because they think this is a secret plan by Trump.
Anger is not that answer & I have zero bad intentions when I say this stuff. I can definitely be nicer & calmer about it.
My intention was never to attack people personally & doing that was wrong. There is a way to have these conversations without how I was wording it.

Here’s a timeline of Trump’s comments and actions on Covid 19 from January 22 to March 13, a thread:

January 22: “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. It’s going to be just fine.”

February 2: “We pretty much shut it down coming in from China.”
February 24: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA… Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”

February 25: “CDC and my Administration are doing a GREAT job of handling Coronavirus.”
Feb 25: “I think that's a problem that’s going to go away… They have studied it. They know very much. In fact, we’re very close to a vaccine.”
