"Commit to a regular publishing schedule on your blog."

Says every blogger, SEO, and online marketing expert EVER.

It's time to slow TF down, stop and think:

Why is everyone preaching this strategy?

👇(thread)
1- The more content you have, the more pages Google has to rank.

2- Once Google ranks the content, your traffic is "passive."

3- You need new content to share weekly with existing fans and customers.

I'm calling BULLSHIT on this strategy.

Does it work?
Yes, without a doubt (otherwise experts would not preach it).

Is it THE BEST strategy?

HELL NO.

Why do I think that?
1- The more content you have, the more pages you need to update to maintain Google rankings. More content = more headaches.

2- Once Google ranks the content, your traffic IS NOT passive. It's only passive until someone beats you or Google drops you like a sack of bricks.
3- You DON'T need to share new content with your audience. You need to share new insights (NEW FLASH: people don't give a shit about your "content").

What proof do I have?

I studied the income report of a popular blogger who has been doing this blogging/content thang for 6 yrs.
He has 300,000+/mo "passive" traffic and 100,000+ email subscribers.

Waaaaaay more than me.

But guess what? After running my strategy for six months...

I have more PROFIT.

Ask yourself:

Do you want more traffic in six years? Or more profit in six months?
If you want more traffic, follow what the herd does.

Just know that:

At the end of the day, how much traffic you get and how big your email list is are vanity metrics.

Having 1 million readers won't put food on the table for your family.
I know, you wanna make an impact. I admire you for it. I truly do.

Chris "Mahatma Gandi" Von Wilpert wants to make a BIG impact too.

But you ain't never gonna make the impact you wanna make without making a PROFIT first.

Cah-peesh? (BTW that's Italian for "do you understand?")
It might sound silly, but when I go to the Fish n' Chip shop and don't have to worry whether it's $10 or $30 for a cod + chips, life is just better.

When I can pay for all my wife's expenses so she can sit on the couch watching Friends (or do whatever she wants), life is better.
When I don't have to care about my next week's grocery bill, life is better.

I'm not rich, I just have a bit more freedom than the average Joe.
And I like to use that freedom to be a student of online business, so I can turn complex marketing problems into simple, repeatable systems.

If you want a bit more freedom in your life.

And want to make some profit in the next few months, so you can make an impact later.
I want to invite you to join me and use the same strategy I use.

Instead of building a strategy around creating more, consistent content.

We're going to build a strategy around creating more, consistent PROFIT.

(Using insightful content as our weapon of choice to do it.)
Re-read those last three sentences in the last tweet. There is a BIG difference.

If you'd like to join me in this new content revolution:

Just drop the word PROFIT in the comments to show me your interest.

(Or PM me here on Twitter).
We'll have a virtual chat man-to-man (or man-to-woman) to see if my strategy can really work for you.

If it can, I'll send you what we'll be doing starting tomorrow with a pay link.

If it can't, I'll point you in the right direction.

PS- I can't yet guide a country to independence, but I can guide you :) #contentmarketing
