@nancook For instance, Trump officials argue that Gov. Cuomo has overstated his complaints about ventilators and could’ve been quicker on efforts like shelter-at-home. (He initially dismissed Mayor de Blasio’s warnings on it.) 
But notably, the GOP governors of states with a far more delayed response — like Florida’s Gov. DeSantis, who ignored warnings to close the beaches — have escaped criticism from Trump and instead get praise, including when Trump was asked directly about DeSantis just now.
