/8 #COVID19 has also highlighted the subsistence challenges of #EssentialWorkers who cannot self-isolate – #HealthCareHeroes and those growing, delivering &/or stocking our food, medicines and other vital supplies.
/8 To end the tragedy of ↑ disease & death rates in vulnerable populations, we need to make things right--now! This is OUR problem, OUR sorrow - inequities touch us all, affecting the health & wellbeing of all Canadians. #COVID #ProtecttheVulnerable
/8 We need to look beyond the health system to #publichealth & the social, cultural, & economic fabric of our society & to weave this approach into a cautious descent down the epidemic curve AND to going forward in living w\ #COVID19
/8 To put this virus in a corner where WE MANAGE IT and not the other way around, we need to adapt our daily lives to always maintain good #handwashing, #PhysicalDistancing and other vital #publichealth measures. #PlanktheCurve #CrushtheCurve
/8 At the same time, we need to build protective supports into our social fabric to provide long-term protection against future waves of #COVID19 & other emerging diseases. That’s when we’ll know we are well & truly there. #WeWillGetThroughThis #cavabienaller
