Lockdown emissions fell during the pandemic, especially from transport, as we were told to #StayAtHome

We know this from the mobility data that @apple and @google released, using it reflect how emissions from various economic sectors changed for 123 countries #funwithdata

But the effect of #lockdown on global temperatures will be tiny – a difference of 0.01˚C in our overall upward trajectory

Green economic recovery can make a real difference when it comes to tackling climate change, cutting the warming expected by 2050 in half

Temperature change could even stay below #1.5˚C in line with #ParisAgreement ambition, avoiding the impacts and risks from higher temperatures that could make a future #pandemic hit even harder
