On Tuesday, Hebei discovered 20 confirmed new cases (Syntomatic ones as China only counts them), 19 in Shijiazhuang and one in Xingtai. As of midnight on Tuesday, Hebei had 39 confirmed cases.
The notice also urged Hebei residents not to organize wedding feasts, especially during the period before and after the Chinese New Year, a traditional peak time for social gatherings, which falls on February 12 this year.
A report discovered that many patients involved in the latest new cases in Hebei have engaged in wedding ceremonies or funerals.
