Bloody day today between both sides in #Marib, specially Sirwah front. #Houthi/#Ansarullah retreated from some positions while #YSF is being very pressured in Jawf & northern Marib axis.
Today #Ansarallah launched new attack in Sirwah axis towards Zūr & Marib dam. Advances from both sides were reported in Rahabah-Jabal Murad-Juba frontlines.
With today's advances #Ansarullah controlled more than 30% of #Marib governorate & its troops are 14 kilometers from #Marib city.
Minimal changes in #Marib fronts during the last 36 hours. Most of clashes are concentrated in Siwah & Meghdal axis, where both sides are suffering many caualties. #YSF is bringing new reinforcements to Wadi Adhanah while #Ansarullah is securing the recently captured areas.
#Houthis/#Ansarullah are advancing along the asphalt road towards the city of #Marib outpassing Az-Zur village (civilians exodus due to proximity of attacks). The main obstacle is now Talaa Al-Hamra. Heavy clashes are taking place with #YSF in Wadi Az Zur-Jabal Nasib al Bir line.
Western shore of Al-Sadd Lake is empty as #YSF withdrew from it towards southern positions in Wādī Adhanah & Jabal as Sawād. It is expected #Ansarullah will reach the lake for the first time since 2015 in the next hours. Az-Zour village is also empty of #YSF presence.
With today's advances #Ansarullah troops are 10-11 Km to #Marib city.

#YSF positions begin to collapse in Rahgwān as #Ansarallah is making gains S. & N. of this district. With this collapse, #Ansarallah took full control over Medghal district & entered in the limits of #Marib district for the first time since 2015.
With today's advances #Ansarallah entered in #Marib city district for the first time since 2015 and now have presence in all #Marib governorate districts. Troops are 10 Km from the city in Medghal (west) axis and 7 km in Sirwah (south) axis.

Hard & bloody battles in Jabal al-Balak (جبل البلق) area between #Ansarallah & #YSF. Important battle for both sides, control of this area means control the southern supply route to #Marib.
Meanwhile #AnsarAllah reopen Abdiyah (العبدية) axis to relieve pressure in Jabal Murad & Sirwah axis. So far #YSF repelled all the attacks.

The results are not too misguided: #Marib battle will take some time. Despite reports about #Ansarallah enter in suburbs of the city were true, it's not expected troops will make a serious attempt to take the city directly. Sanaa forces want to repeat Hazm scenario in Marib
trying not to have unnecessary casualties. To make this possible, #Ansarallah has to be successful on the fronts surrounding the city (Raghwan, Alam, Sirwah). During the first month since the return of military operations big progress was made in those frontlines & battles are
going to be more intense in the next weeks as #Ansarallah is slowly achieving the previous objectives before the last push takes place.
The lack of map changes in #Marib frontlines during the last 5 days doesn't have any relation with developments in #Taiz & #Hajjah...

Sorry for the last report about #Ansarallah entering in IDP camps. Despite Sanaa forces have presence in Jabal al Khashar, #YSF is still deployed inside the camps. At this time #Ansarallah tries to force its withdrawal by capturing Dhat al-Ra'a & get fire control over the N5 road
About the news of Huwayshiyan, the truth is this area is considered a clashes area between #Jawf & #Marib governorates due to imposibility of defend it because there is no natural defenses there. Not the first time it was used by #Ansarallah to inflict big losses to #YSF.
Not true that #Ansarallah got fire control over Sahn al-jin camp. At the moment troops are working to expand buffer zone around Jabal al Khashar towards Dhat al-Ra'a, which is 7-6 Km to city suburbs and 10-9 km to camp.
During the last week clashes have decreased in western Marib front. The reasons of this decrease are the slowly evacuation of IDP camps, it's not expected #Ansarallah is going to fully relaunch the offensive until camps are empty & this may take some days more. On the other hand
advances of Sanaa reported was actually reversed with #YSF counterattacks some hours after & there wasn't map change. In addition, it's not clear if Marib offensive might be slow down with the beginning of Ramadan & negotiations can take importance, specially prisoner exchanges.

With yesterday advances & the withdrawal of #YSF from Tabat Dahlah #Ansarallah managed to break the second defense line of #Marib from this axis marking the beginning of a new phase of the battle for the city which will be carried out during at least the whole month of May.
With confirmed withdrawals, situation in #Marib return to be the same as during the last week of April, with the exception of #Ansarallah control over Talat al-Hamra & Tabat area. Minimun distance of Sanaa forces from city is 10,5 Km now.

Contrary to what was expected. #Marib frontlines didn't suffer any changes during the last days. The reasons behind are the agreement between Saudi Arabia & Sanaa government which means a big victory for the second one. Now situation for #YSF in the defense of #Marib is more
unfavourable, specially if the decrease of air support become real. However political negotiations haven't finished yet & it's not expected military operations will restart during some time & mutual shelling & small incursions will be a constant during this time.

but launching its own offensive under the name of Operation Clear Victory. During the fisrt phase of this operation #Ansarallah reversed all #AQAP gains in Sawma'ah district (20 Km^2) & took fully control over Zahir district (175 Km^2) securing southwest of #Bayda governorate.
During the second phase of Operation Clear Victory, #Ansarallah managed to break #YNA defenses at Nati & Numan districts taking fully control over these districts (500 Km^2) & reaching border with #Shabwab governorate for the first time in three years.
Strategic situation of Nati & Numan gives Sanaa forces many possibilities to open new fronts:
- 24 Km to Harib, one of the main #YNA supply route to #Marib
- 8 Km to Beihan district center, bridgehead for a future operation in #Shabwab
- Bridgehead op towards Maswarah & Abdiyah.

The other possibility is the opening of new front S.#Marib with the first objetive to take fully control of Abdiyah district & then a progressive advance inside Harib district until stablish fire control over #YNA supply route to #Marib, this will avoid attrition like happened
at Jabal Murad front, where #YNA & tribes hold the ground during more than six months until July when #YNA launched new offensive & made big advances until Rahabah district center (360 Km^2). So far #Ansarallah was unable to make huge reverses & frontline have been consolidated.
Same happened in central #Marib frontlines where #YNA has very slowly recovered many positions (65 Km^2) since may after #Ansarallah withdrawals & failed attempts to advance, probing battle of #Marib is a long-term battle that is far to end.
