Situation on Hlukhiv front: During the last four weeks, the situation on this front has hardly changed. Artillery exchanges continue between Russia and Ukraine along the border, with Russian army advancing slightly inland and taking control of some plantations and forested areas.

Situation on Sumy front: During the second half of May, Russian army continued its advance southward following the capture of Korchakivka in April. Russian advance units moved into the wooded area to the south, advancing to the outskirts of Nova Sich and Ivolzhanske, which came under heavy Russian shelling.

Ukrainian-Russian war. Day 1553-1558: 🇺🇦🇷🇺
Situation on Krasnopillia front: During the last four weeks, Russian Army has effectively taken control of Myropillya after driving Ukrainian forces out of the southern part of the locality in the middle of the month. These advances allowed Russian forces to shift the fighting across the Psel River to the neighboring locality of Zapsillya, where fighting continues. Russian troops also launched new incursions into the Zavodovshchyna Forest, attempting to expand the buffer zone and link up with the Sumy front.
Furthermore, further south, Russian forces have effectively taken control of Ryasne. However, they have not yet been able to drive Ukrainian forces out of the plantations west of the locality, from where the Ukrainians continue to press forward in an attempt to regain lost ground.

Situation north of Kharkov: On May 19, Russian army launched a new cross-border operation toward Kozacha Lopan along the railway line. After a week of fighting, on May 27, assault units of the 11th Regiment of the “North” Group took control of the localities of Hraniv and Shevchenka, forcing the 58th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to retreat to the northern outskirts of Kozacha Lopan.

Meanwhile, south of Vovchansk, over the past two weeks, Russian army recaptured Synelnykove and parts of Lyman, allowing it to shift the fighting to the industrial facilities of Tsehelne and north of Vilcha.

In addition, east of Vovchansk, assault units of the 127th Mechanized Infantry Battalion of the Russian 71st Guards Rifle Division “North” took control of Karaichne on May 29 after ten days of fighting, following the capture of Volokhivka. Control was also taken of the forest to the west, securing a bridgehead south of the Vovcha River. Further advances were also made in the forested area north of Okhrimivka and south of the Rybalkyne farms.

Further east, Budarky was also taken by assault units of the 69th Rifle Division of the 6th “North” Army after nine days of fighting.

Syrian Civil War [13/7/2025]: 🇸🇾
Bedouin militias, supported by the SNA and the STG, launched a new offensive to take control of the Suwayda governorate. During the day the Damascus forces took control of several localities:
- In Al-Surah al-Saghirah sub-district they took control of Dhakir, Khalkhalah (& the airbase), Umm Hartein, Hazm and Sawarah al-Kebirah.
- In Al-Ariqah sub-district they took control of Dama, Jrein, Labeen and entered Deir al-Mayyas and Harran.
- In Al-Mazraa sub-district they took control of Ta'arat and entered Qarrasa, ad-Duweiri, ad-Dur, Sami, Samma al-Hneidat and At Tireh.
- In Markaz As-Suwayda sub-district the locality of ad-Darah and Tha'la Airbase were captured as well. In addition, from the locality of Kharaba (the only locality under terrorist control in the governorate) an assault was launched against Ara and Mujaymir.

During the night, there were numerous episodes of looting and destruction of houses in these localities, while civilians fled to the east. At the same time, the STG and the SNA brought in new reinforcements from other governorates.🇸🇾

Taking advantage of the Jewish holy Sabbath, HAMAS launched a large-scale military operation that surprised Israeli forces. After an intense bombardment with missiles towards multiple positions the Gaza militants have launched a ground offensive in which they have taken several positions around the border and have reached several towns where multiple battles are taking place.
In response, #Israel has declared a state of war and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has reached a significant escalation that has not occurred for years.🇮🇱🇵🇸

Situation at Gaza strip [7/10/2023] (18:00):
Palestinian Armed Groups managed to control more territories following the withdrawal of IDF, which were not unable to hold these positions. Clashes are taking place now in three important cities: Sederot, Askelon & Ofakim. Meanwhile IDF began to accumulate reinforcements in the southern district.

Some time ago was pointed out in this account that the Ukrainian conflict should be seen as a confrontation between two powers in a third country, which had been invaded by one of the belligerents, thus undermining its international sovereignty. Prior to the invasion, Russia had pursued a grey zone strategy in Ukraine by creating new national entities outside the Ukrainian state, such as the Donbas republics.
However, this type of strategy is not original to the Slavic giant. During the last 24 hours another conflict gained intensity in the Balkans again

Nearby eight years since the Minsk agreements were reached the situation in eastern #Ukraine deteriorates again, the recent recognition of LPR & DPR by #Russia put an end of the previous agreement & set a new period of scalation in this conflict where military confrontation ceased to be a remote possibility but an inevitable one. #Russia, as a superpower that is, uses the conflict in #Ukraine as a grey zone strategy, trying to grow its influence in the country, which was lost previously in 2014 in order to confront NATO/EU expansion towards east

Another year is going to finish. 2020 has left us with fewer military events in the Syrian military conflict. Reflecting the enormous influence of the regional powers in the country, where the end of the war is still far away due to political blockade that has led to a stalemate As we saw during the last days of 2019, #SAA had begun #Op_Redemption3 in order to retake M5 highway. After a small hiatus during the first weeks of January, Russian-Turkish negotiations failed & #SAA restarted the offensive by opening three axis S. #Idlib, S. #Aleppo & its city.

Hours away to end 2019, the new stage of Syrian war has officially settled down, where politics decisions have replaced in an important way the military campaigns, mostly focused on the last terrorist reducts: (1) 2019 started as 2018 ended, #SDF continued #CizireStorm operation against last #ISIS stronghold, battle proved difficult & took 3 month to liberate the last 70 Km^2 under #ISIS control. On March 23 2019 #ISIS finally lost the last urban territories & became an insurgent group (2)

#Tripoli #LNA advance in Gharyan-Tripoli road almost reversed

With the liberation of Khan Sheikhun 2nd phase of #IdlibDawn operation is almost over. #SAA finally secure N.Hama salient & eliminates important defensive line opening the doors of Idlib hearthland from S. & a reduction of 25 km of frontline. 560 Km^2 were liberated since May (1) However, advance to Maarat Numan may stop due to New observation post line building by Turkey in Hish village & with Next Astana round aproaching new ceasefire could be stablished soon. Before this date #SAA should gain as much ground as possible (2)

With 2018 in it's last moments, a new stage of the Syrian war have started & the end of the war is aproaching as time passes. 2018 has been another important year with many political & military developments: (1) #AbuDhuhur Op (26/12/2017 - 9/2/2018) : as a continuation of the operation (started on October 2017) #SAA began huge offensive from many axis against Rebels & #ISIS in #Hama, #Aleppo & #Idlib provinces. With #Daraa & #Quneitra province under full control. #SAA turn their eyes on N.W. #Syria : In the next days army will launch a new operation ( #IdlibDawn ) in order to liberate the remaining areas of #Latakia , #Hama , #Idlib & W. #Aleppo & eliminate #HTS rule (Dark green) (1) Due to the extension of the frontlines (273 Km) & rebel control area (6428 Km^2) operation will be carried out in more than one phase & 4 different axis:

#SAA started new operation to clean #Suwayda desert from #ISIS groups (evacuated from S. #Damascus some weeks ago). We started a new year (I hope the last) of the Syrian civil war. But 2017 has been the most important year & the result of inflection point of the war in 2016 with many political & military developments : (1) The first military operation of #SAA was Wadi Bara (23/12/2016 - 29/1/2017) which finished with the evacuation of rebels from Wadi Barada & the North montainous area in the border with Lebanon. At the same time other forces advanced in E.Ghouta reaching some parts of Hazrama (2)
