In yesterday's thread I reported on bridges being taken out by #Ukraine's armed forces near #Melitopol'
Here's video of the result of one of the attacks. #Russia's resolve there must be weakening now.
There is, in my opinion, the possibility of a big change there by New Year.
A few tweets earlier in today's thread⬆️ I reported about the blast over the border in Klintsy, #Russia
In daylight we can see how big it was from the size of the crater, with military vehicles around.
A big escalation
Incidents like that one in #Bryansk may continue to bring a rise in anti-war sentiment in some circles of #Russia's society.
Britain's Intel is convinced Putin is running scared of meeting the real public in an uncontrolled environment.
Thank you David "Phillo" Phillips for the kind message and support, buying me a coffee here (and apologies it took me a couple of days to say thanks) ko-fi.com/twmcltd
#Russia is losing manpower at an increasing rate again as a result of good intel and pinpoint short and medium range strikes on the invaders in Occupied parts of #Ukraine.
100,000 dead Russian troops now on target to be reached 23 December (my initial estimate was 28 Dec)
Anger from many EU countries over Macron's "soft" comments on #Russia.
#France's President urged "how to give guarantees to Russia the day it returns to the negotiating table."
2/2 There are a number of issues local leaders have with #Ukraine's draft planning law. The biggest is it gifts a virtual monopoly to someone, and of course the government decides who gets the gift
This continues a potentially worrying trend which I've been filming the past week
#Belarus has sent a brigade of troops to the border with #Ukraine
Monitoring group Hayun says the 38th Air Assault brigade convoy consists of 25 APCs and 30 trucks with personnel, along with 3 x 120mm mortar systems and various other military vehicles
Alexi, you forgot to add "Drone Meister"😂💪🇺🇦
Good luck when your new unit gets back to action on the frontline. Keep us updated when you can, and be safe!
A plant which makes engines, including for #Russia's navy, is ablaze.
The Zvezda factory is in St. Petersburg, but the company's press office optimistically says the fire is in an industrial complex and their machinery is ok.
Awaiting photos/video
There are now photos proving the fire happened at the factory in St Petersburg which makes diesel engines for #Russia's Navy
They say strikes in #Melitopol' #Enerhodar#Tokmak and #Huliaipole have accounted the Command of #Russia's 58th brigade, 3 artillery installations, 10 units of military equipment and 150 soldiers.
Not a good time of year to make land advances in many areas of #Ukraine, as this video shows.
American media now reporting the Pentagon is finally set to give Patriot air defence systems to #Ukraine.
If all the allies had helped immediately, many thousands of lives would have been saved, but better late than never I guess. Hopefully this will be confirmed tomorrow.

So I'm still on the same train. 15 hours after boarding. No communication from staff sadly. Hours stood in the countryside with no wifi, phone signal and for a while the train lost light, heat and power.
We are approaching the #Poland border now.
I was able to take pretty pics!
Not had chance to read the news yet. But have seen the daily losses for #Russia increase significantly following the successful #HIMARS strikes on enemy bases in #Kadiivka and #Melitopol in particular.
One of my unsung heroes of the war is #Ukraine's legendary rock star @s_vakarchuk who's spent so much time criss-crossing the country giving free, unannounced performances to keep spirits high.
Here the @okeanelzy frontman turned up in #Kyiv's main railway station
Yesterday the #USA announced that #Russia and #Iran have made a deeper agreement.
Today the daily update from the #UK Defence Intelligence picks up on the matter:
The number of #Russia's soldiers remains quite high if you actually think about the waste, the grieving families. However the totals this week well down on the peak figures.
Hello and welcome to Day 289 of the inhumane war in #Ukraine.
My day started like this, no power, no WiFi, no signal... Then woken by the schoolboy error of leaving the light switch on, so at 03.45 here I am starting another daily thread documenting #Russia's crimes:
Mind you, Thursday ended like this with friends, so not all bad!
Also here's a pic I couldn't post yesterday, to give you an idea of how tricky it is to move around #Ukraine in winter with no street lights and compacted snow in some areas.
Questions should be asked in #Melbourne about who allowed this event to go ahead.
Thanks to @NMAsiaPac for alerting me to this, but the good news is the tickets were free and boycotting NAFO members have already booked them all!
It's Day 288 of #Russia's invasion of peaceful #Ukraine. Where once there were close ties, #Putin has ripped them apart and set his nation back years, maybe decades
Welcome to another daily thread, live from #Ukraine, I'll do what I can but it's difficult to be able to post much
At the start of Day 287 I crossed the border and I'm still on the train as the snow gets heavier and thicker.
If anyone wants to buy me a coffee I'd be very appreciative. Dyakuyu!
A fairly quiet night in #Ukraine - but as always if you need to catch up on yesterday's news, it's all in one handy place. Here's the start of yesterday's thread:
