🇦🇷⚡️The CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) summit, held on Tuesday in Buenos Aires, declared the region as a "zone of peace" and highlighted its importance as a major producer and exporter of food.

The summit addressed issues such as climate change, health strategy, environmental cooperation, science, productive technology & innovation, infrastructure for integration, gender, youth, migration, disability, education, culture, and cooperation in space & nuclear matters.

It also included special sections on Haiti, Cuba, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and the Falkland Islands. The summit expressed its "strongest regional support for Argentina's claim over the Falklands" and highlighted the importance of the Paraguay-Parana waterway.

It reiterated the call to end the blockade against Cuba, emphasized the defense of natural & strategic resources, emphasized the importance of dialogue between the parties in Venezuela, and reaffirmed the principle of non-interference in the continent's political processes.

The summit ended with the unanimous election of Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, as the temporary president of the regional forum.

This is the first time in the history of the organization, founded in 2011, that a small country from the Caribbean has assumed the temporary presidency. The summit had speeches from the 11 presidents and prime ministers present, as well as other delegates.

There were discussions in the media about the speeches of Alberto Fernández & Lula da Silva, the outburst of the president of Uruguay, references to the crisis in Peru by G. Boric & G. Petro, as well as a video of Nicolás Maduro denouncing the aggressions against his country.
