Drones and rockets were used by #Russia, leaving a 34 year old man dead and two injured according to Serhiy Lysak, the regional governor.
Energy infrastructure has been damaged.

This morning's attack by #Russia was unique according to Yuriy Ihnat, spokesman of #Ukraine's Air Force.
In total, 81 missiles were launched including 6 Kh-22 and 6 "Dagger" warheads.
There were 8 more guided air missiles and 20 Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea.
#Kharkiv is without power after missile stikes hit the city.
Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov reports transformer substations were hit, but for critical institutions, hospitals etc, they are able to run off generators.
15 missiles targeted the region, 11 aimed at #Kharkov itself.
A fifth body has been recovered from #Zolochiv in the western #Lviv region of #Ukraine. A rocket smashed into residential housing - the devastation clear to see in this video.
Mass missile attacks by #Russia across the country took three thermal power plants offline. #StopRussia
Of #Ukraine's cities/regions I've not yet mentioned in today's thread, the following were also targeted by #Russia today:
1/ My analysis of the mass missile attack by #Russia
Firstly, the Terrorist State targets energy infrastructure, but also civilian targets, with plausible deniability of "unguided weapons" or that #Ukraine's defences must have knocked them off course.
Today's attack is the first mass missile launch on #Ukraine for 3 weeks, the longest gap since #Russia began such attacks in October. This likely shows they are worried about depleting stocks, but the worry is the Kremlin is being resupplied by Iran (likely), N.Korea or China
3/
#Ukraine desperately needs air defence:
(more) Patriot systems are "on their way" but the delay of any supply costs lives as we've seen today.
The fact that #Russia used so many types of missile, including 'Kinzhal' hypersonics, could be them striking before Patriot arrives.
4/
Without China/Iran help, without a further wave of mobilisation, #Russia is struggling
Bank reserves are used to keep 🇷🇺 economy stable. With no victory & no end to the war in #Ukraine in sight, pressure mounts on Putin
When any star dies it burns itself out in a final fury

President @ZelenskyyUa says he held an emergency meeting this morning with key figures in Defence and Energy following the mass missile attack.
As he published his post on Telegram, another nationwide air-raid warning sounded with #Russia's planes active again from #Belarus.
#Poland's Deputy PM says they've already given #Ukraine the remaining 10 of the 14 Leopard-2 tanks.
Mariusz Blaszczak added "In addition to these 14 tanks, this battalion also includes four tanks from Canada, eight from Norway, and six from Spain,"
In what I see as a pure diversionary tactic, #Russia, immediately after striking civilians and civilian infrastructure in #Ukraine, announced they'd foiled an assassination attempt on the "leader" of #Transnistria, the unrecognised Russian occupied strip of #Moldova.
Another video from #Kherson of the damage from the ongoing shelling by #Russia's forces over the river.
These houses are on Korabelnaya Square, in the centre. Zero military value. Pure destruction, targeting of locals.
#Russia may have two new friends.
Military exercises are planned with #Mongolia and #Laos according to the Kremlin.
One person has been killed in occupied #Volnovakha and another injured according to #Russia.
The Occupiers claim a HIMARS missile hit the bus station in the town in #Donetsk region, midway between #Mariupol' and Donetsk city.
Some reports of explosions in #Dnipro region. These are purely planned work on unexploded enemy munitions. Sappers will also be working in #Kyiv region this afternoon.
Seen in a shopping mall in #Austria: "Not our war"
#Vienna was, and likely still is, the absolute hotspot in the EU for #Russia's spies and the Kremlin at one point managed to exert big influence on key political figures.
🇦🇹 seems to have come to its senses, but danger remains
'High-ranking officials' of the US Defence Department believes #Iran is using #Ukraine as a testing ground for its weapons.
The CNN report comes just a couple of days after Sky proved the Iranians had given 100m bullets and 300k shells to #Russia, but no ballistic missiles yet.
A fourth person has now died in the earlier shelling of #Kherson.
City officials now say #Russia almost certainly fired from a tank. They hit a queue at a bus stop and a shop.

Power has been fully restored in #Ukraine's capital #Kyiv.
However 30% of homes remain without communal heating according to Vitaliy Klychko (Klytshchko)
Protests continue in #Georgia even though the Russian loving government caved in to the people's demands. Arrested protesters were released and the legislation on "foreign agents" was scrapped.
Glory to #Ukraine appeared on the parliament building during tonight's demos.
Time for another in our series of #Russia vs Camels.
Looks like the ships of the desert are too strong. This makes it 3-0.

Day 1530 of the war in Europe.
After almost going through the night, it's a late start for me today, but details are now in from another dramatic night.
More civilians murdered in Ukraine, more Russian drones in NATO territory and more Russian ships hit.
Lots to catch up on..
We fell well short of 15k views yesterday despite a very long thread.
We ended with late night drone waves by Ukraine, while earlier on Saturday Russia was hitting buses and trains in another big daytime attack as Putin gets increasingly desperate.
The morning after the night before. A dreadful 24 hours for Ukraine as Terrorism rained down on all four of 🇺🇦's biggest cities.
Russia acts with impunity. Putin & his commanders have got away with war crimes for 4 years, so what will change?
Here's the🧵for Day 1513
As I type, BSky is down, which causes problems as it's much easier to simul-post than go back & repost everything later.
So, like the old days before fascism took over here, I'm on X (itter) only.
But these problems are infinitesimally small compared to 1000s in Ukraine today.
A pretty astonishing 24 hours of round-the-clock day and night attacks from Russia. Trying to exhaust Ukraine's air defence missiles and also exhaust the operators too, no doubt.
Many, many civilian deaths and injuries.
This is how it unfolded..
You've found the start of another daily thread and Friday is Day 1507 of Ukraine's heroic struggle to keep alive its independent statehood.
Since Bohdan Khmelnytskyi's uprising in 1648, Ukraine has never had 35 years of freedom. It's about to accomplish that, but at what cost?
All the important stories, throughout the day, every day. It's all fact-checked; I'm a real, trained journalist with vast experience and knowledge of Ukraine.
What's not to love?😆
Catch up on yesterday's thread here:
This is the beginning of the daily Ukraine thread on Day 1491.
The day started with an attack a major Russian port, which I was still reporting on during yesterday's🧵at 03:15 GMT/05:15 Kyiv
More details on that coming up.
The aerial fightback at the end of the day (start of today) came after Russia broke every record in the book for drone numbers during a cowardly attack on less protected city centres in the west of the country.
