@coffeespoonie Change the system then? Have ADA inspectors the same as health inspectors for businesses.
Also if businesses would just comply with ADA (aka the friggin LAW) in the first place, they wouldn't have to get sued!!! #HR620
@coffeespoonie How is THAT not the focus in these conversations? There are laws in place to protect the civil rights of disabled people and they BROKE them
"Drive-by lawsuits" are so petty to even examine while on the other side of the coin a business is not up to code with 27 YEARS to fix it!
If you think serial suing is more of a problem than actually being inaccessible and breaking the law, you don't care about disabled people.
@coffeespoonie If you think suing & the costs payed are more important than the fact that it's BECAUSE they deny the civil rights of disabled ppl then... 🙌
They have been trying to make the case for this for a while. Our rights matter more than lawbreakers paying for it.
