So this much-heralded Dexeu exit day amendment that enshrines Exit Day at 11pm on 29/3/19...

 There is a consequential Amendment tabled by David Davis at the same time - amendment 383 relating to the “saving provision” on exit day
3/ This amendment changes this clause 17 of the EU Withdrawal Bill: some Tory MPs say the clerks believe that this retains a reserve power..
4/ ... reserve power to change the exit date in relation to any transition deal..view of some Tory MPs having consulted Parliamentary clerks

Interesting - maybe too late. Labour MPs astonished No 10 failed to consult with unions too. Also one told her directly that her talking up of No Deal as a viable option was making things difficult. Ie they need her to say publicly that No Deal is a disastrous non option...tricky
Labour sources briefing against: “We will look at any proposal that is put forward to improve T May’s bad deal.

“However, amendment would mean MPs supporting deal based on promises that are not legally binding. also doesn’t guarantee UK won’t fall behind on important rights”

Another ticking No Deal time bomb -Lords Grand committee supposed to take 4 hours to deal with 10 Brexit Statutory instruments - Got through just 3 on stem cells, embryology etc, all referred up to full House of Lords.

Hundreds more required to be passed to correct statute book
Some Govt sources suggesting there is a filibustering game going on here - Lords strenuously deny - todays committee included Lord Winston, Warner, Foulkes, Adonis etc, say it is scrutiny legislated for in Withdrawal Bill.

In any event, cant see how they get through all the SIs

Big business in Jamaica will only understand the seriousness of crime when they lose so significantly it becomes unbearable...murders don't kill some profits, but closing at 2pm for a week because of curfew will...
When people in this country who are not directly affected by crime make the loudest appeals for action they really mean action against THEM not US...wanting to enjoy the SAME life while action is taken against "those people"
So WE must be free to go clubbing, parties, visiting where we so choose because "we're law abiding citizens" and the sec forces "need fi guh run dung DEM and low WE" ...how law abiding are you when you resist the fix YOU demanded?

How long does a day last everyday? 24 hours? Wrong.

We define day as the time taken by Earth to complete one rotation around its axis.
But with respect to what is the measurement made? 2/n
Since Earth is also revolving around Sun while it is rotating, it needs to rotate a little extra when rotation is measured w.r.t. sun (solar day) than a distant star (sidereal day)

1 What a quite remarkable week in the independent republic of Brexitlandia:
- the Government wins a vote to repeal the European Communities Act (which gives effect to EU law in the UK) even though the Maybot has said EU law will apply for at least a 2 year transition after we leave 😬
3 - Gov proposes legislating the day Brexit will happen even though it will happen in March 2019 automatically (unless UK & EU agree to extend it - but then UK may be stuck because legislating Brexit day may prevent the option of extending negotiations even if we want to do so)🙄
