Some thoughts on Brexit:
- those who voted Remain all voted for the same thing
- the rest had no such common goal. Some wanted to remain in the EEA, some to fall back on WTO rules, and some believed they could leave the EEA yet still have frictionless and tariff free trade

Though the message of the main leave campaign of taking back control implied leaving the single market, this was contradicted by other prominent campaigners e.g. @DanielJHannan as well as Gove, Davis and Bojo who promised a preferential deal due to Prosecco imports etc..

Despite no clear mandate, parliament consented to the triggering of A50, fearing political backlash and an even greater distrust of democratic institutions.

This was followed by a vicious media campaign designed to undermine the very same legal and parliamentary processes to which the same papers had previously fought to return control. So far so good .. and by good I mean abject failure on so many levels

Reversing Brexit may seem like a just cause given the above, however this can only be achieved by a legal challenge on A50, parliamentary decision or referendum. Neither of these will be popular due to the inherent stubborness that led us here in the first place.

Furthermore, by pushing an unrelenting #stopBrexit agenda, this risks strengthening the hands of the lunatic fringe who want Brexit at all costs, even if it means leaving millions of people in legal limbo and causing administrative chaos

Would it thus be preferable to let the process resolve itself through the ongoing Brexit negotiations and eventual parliamentary vote, and focus instead on exposing the lies and disinformation that have blighted the process from the beginning?

I'm not trying to provoke and am just as upset about how things have turned out as anyone, but genuinely want to see how people feel about this. #FBPE
