/ Welcome to Wednesday in the independent republic of Brexitlandia
/ Cretinus Maximus @DavidDavisMP and BINO Hammond are off to Germany today to make the case for financial services to be included in any deal between the U.K. and EU amp.theguardian.com/politics/2018/…
/ Some may regard this as sensible given the size of UK financial services and the tax revenues it generates 😬
/ Some may regard it as mildly insane to jeopardise the bulk of tax revenue for a project that had no plan and still does not 18 months after the vote 😱😱😱
/ But because Cretinus Maximus is a big cretin and the Maybot only changes course if she loses in court, the show continues🤤🤤🤤
/ Cretinus Maximus and BINO Hammond are going to make the case that the UK and EU have aligned interests so a deal should be made ignoring that their interests are not aligned 😬😬
/ If that fails, then they will engage in their loan shark routine of warning of financial instability that could flow from thus ignoring the financial instability that came from financial services businesses in 2008 many of whom trade across the EU from the UK 😘
/ Loan shark is perhaps an unfair term. Plankton would be better as they cannot swim against the current. The current in this example being reality 😏
/ Merkel is reported as being suspicious of the UK approach of cake and eatery and of wanting everything to be the same but Britain is not called Great Britain for nothing 🏳🏳🏳
/ For those still laughing about Cretinus Maximus complaining that the EU are taking him at his word when he talks of no deal, it turns out that the EU believes it is their responsibility to detail the consequences of the UK approach amp.ft.com/content/3b60d2…
/ As the Government refuses to explain the trade offs and only focus on the opportunities (without identifying them), the EU wants business to be prepared for what could happen. 😡😡😡
/ According to Cretinus Maximus this is a fucking liberty. After all if the UK does not know what it wants then how can the EU? So how can the EU tell U.K. BIZ what might happen 🤡🤡🤡
/ The Maybot recognises there will be trade offs but cannot bring herself to tell the public save for Sunday when there was a glitch in her operating software
/ For now the plan is to go for full regulatory alignment and managed divergence. Some may see through this
/ Meanwhile Global Liam Fox claimed we would have agreements with all the countries the EU has agreements with in place by March 2019 🤥🤥🤥
/ Presumably someone has told Liam Fox that the EU also has lots of bilateral arrangements with countries that are not full FTAs? If not, he is going to learn the hard way 🙄
/ Meanwhile Number 10 said there would be no Minister for No Deal (Minister of Doom) and then appointed Suella Fernandes as a DEXEU minister. I think Suella is in fact the Minister of Doom ☠️
/ Let's examine her credentials. Well there is this
/ and this:
/ and this:
/ Some may think her the perfect candidate to learn about the real world very quickly. Some may prefer not to have her anywhere near the decisions affecting millions of people 😬😬😬
/ In the interests of balance, I leave you with this:
/ Perhaps a short poll would be helpful to see what others think
