God used to meet his prophets (Ibrahim / Yunus) directly, sometimes between bushes. He also hangs out inside a very cool tent (Tabernacle) on top of Mount Sinai, in the middle of Musa's followers.
Older Mesopotamian gods were even more 'down-to-earth'. Their religious beliefs held that human beings were *co-workers* with the gods, and labored with them to hold back the forces of chaos.
The Egyptian gods, meanwhile, consider themselves as *friends* of human beings and sought only the best for them, by providing them with the most perfect of all lands to live in.
Muhammad's god had the least chill of them all, with very limited access and appearance. There was a reason for this change, partly because of the increasing population growth.
If 'god' themselves evolved to suit the change of time, why are people still cling on literally, to a text produced a thousand year ago? A time when barbaric punishments, child marriage, patriarchy etc were the prevalent, accepted culture?
