Since there's quite a backlash of religious people being sexist, here's why these peeps seem gatal.

Having lust is a result of our evolutionary process, to promote reproduction thus enhancing the survival of our species. It is a built-in feature in our genes to be horny 😈 >>
Reproduction (not recreation) through sexual intercourse for humans will need some sort of attachment, so lust is the first step to trigger that.

S1) Lust (oestrogen and testosterone)
S2) Attraction (adrenaline, dopamine and serotonin)
S3) Attachment (oxytocin and vasopressin)
Organized religions ie. Islam has always promoted reproduction as a mean to sustain their theocracy/civilisation. Hence why marriage is important (step 3 -attachment).

Marriage is a tool for sustenance & expansion of political power, the 'Sexual Selection' mode on a bigger scale
This sexual selection will empower the ruling power to spread their citizens' genes across wider population, cementing their base for a sustainable future.

This is also why in wars, ancient invaders rape the women and kill the men.
Naturally this biological 'survival' technique found their way into the religious wisdoms.

However, they emphasize the importance of step 3 (attachment) but can't properly address the needs for step 1 (lust) - other than using fear of sins and hell.
When not properly addressed, this lust escaped through their sexist comments and actions.

Having believed being misogynic is part of their religious mission, these incidents of sexism are sadly, a repeating theme in their society.
