Before & Afters

I figured I'd just make a Twitter thread 4 diz since I dont really wanna fill my IG feed with ivvnwong's shots
(link for his FFA Dropbox: bit.ly/ivvnwongffa)

I really can't work w/ landscapes coz I WILL play around with those flowers and leaves and what not
Before & Afters

When working with lights, or basically with anything tbh, just make sure to expose properly.

ivvnwong got all of the details in on his RAW shot so it was really easy to play around with the different components.
Before & Afters

What you exclude from a shot matters just as much as what you include in it.

Though I absolutely love the Chrysler Building, forcing it to fit the frame distracts the viewer IMO. Cropping it out leaves the attention all for that pop of yellow 👌
Before & Afters

When I see architecture/lines incorporated into a shot, I immediately think "dont be afraid to tweak your perspective".

When I see lights, I immediately think "tame them into just 2/3 colors". It's usually overwhelming to see a bunch of colors.
Before & Afters

Another one of those "what do you want the viewer to look at" dilemmas.
Though it's tempting to highlight the lamp posts, it was really the cap that caught my eye, so.....
Before & Afters

IDK what to say with this one. TBH I just enjoy editing, if that isn't obvious yet.
Keep it subtle. Go with your gut. Go nuts. Make shit edits. Share your shit edits.

Just don't stop experimenting.
Before & Afters

You should already know by now how I feel about greens. ✌🏻
