Paul Manafort's lawyers have filed a wide-ranging challenge to the FBI's search of his condo last summer. They allege the warrant was overbroad, not supported by sufficient probable cause, and that the feds have held onto his electronics for too long. 
Manafort's lawyers say the warrant for his condo was "fatally overbroad because it allowed the searching agents to seize records, emails, photographs and electronic devices."
What Manafort's lawyers haven't objected to was the manner in which the FBI carried out the search - it was reported at the time as a "pre-dawn, no-knock" search. The warrant itself says it was to be executed in the daytime (which starts at 6 a.m.).
The FBI told a judge it had probable cause to believe that Paul Manafort's rugs would be found at Paul Manafort's house.
