There are 5 things I look at when deciding on whether a product is worth testing or not (I could package this thread up and sell it for hundreds of dollars if I wanted to, ignore it at your own peril).
1. Are people already buying it?

If people aren't buying it, chances are you're not a good enough marketer to create the demand for it.

Don't sell something that you don't already know is making money (i.e. Print on demand store with unique designs for your first store).
2. Can it be impulse sold using emotional/social bias?

Dropshipping = impulse buys. Impulse buys = driven by emotion, not logic.

If you can't put an emotional or social spin on it to give people a GREAT reason to buy *right now*, it's not worth selling.
3. Is this market even on FB/Instagram?

This is how you'll sell things with dropshipping (99% of the time). If they're not on FB/IG, you can't reach them. Therefore you can't get good traffic. Therefore you can't make sales.
4. Does this market impulse buy things on FB/IG?

This is HUGE. College kids, for example, spend hours a day on social media, but are broke as fuck and rarely buy things online (take me for example, I've NEVER bought a product off FB/IG).
5. Can I *effectively* target this market on FB?

Nowadays, I don't even touch a product if I don't at least think I can cold target it on FB. I don't want to waste time with IG shoutouts. I'd rather lose money, but find winners faster (this is NOT for beginners).
That's essentially it. That's my approach. Use it, abuse it, profit from it, whatever.

Just know that this is what *I* do, and what I do may work for you, or it may not.

But, only one way to find out!
