Jay Goldberg, longtime legal adviser to Trump, says he spoke with the president after Cohen raid & told him he's "concerned about a person [Cohen] facing a lengthy prison term who's likely to say things which he thinks would best position himself for leniency."

Goldberg says he's thinks Cohen will talk to prosecutors because he's worried about getting raped in prison.

"He's not suited to stand up to the rigors of jail life... Michael doesn't see himself walking down Broadway while people are clamoring, 'you're going to be my wife.'"

Goldberg says that during their recent conversation, Trump told him he "understood" his concerns about Cohen cooperating with prosecutors

Goldberg suggests Trump shouldn't be too worried about Mueller because "I think people are starting to lose interest in Mueller. I think his approval rating has gone down." And even if Trump was involved in collusion w/Russia, Goldberg points out that "collusion is not a crime."

Goldberg says "the only thing you worry about is that like Nixon, the coverup can be worse than the alleged crime itself. And so I urge the president not to let his guard down when he has a conversation with Michael [Cohen], and to be aware of the penchant for tape recordings."

Goldberg, who represented Trump during his divorces, says "I don't think people are that concerned that the president may have had an affair," & even if they are, it's not like Clinton & JFK were saints.

"Stormy Daniels... I don't think people are that concerned."

Trump advisers have been on TV all week warning Trump of danger that Michael Cohen will flip. It appears their message has gotten through.
