These people are deliberately singling out Romanians to strengthen "us" vs. "them" attitudes. Weaker solidarity between migrant groups fits their political aims, nothing else.
They play into stereotypes about Romanians promoted for years by the Daily Mail et al.

To my Commonwealth friends: ask yourselves how many of those commentators condemned Theresa May's hostile environment, before #windrush got media attention. Do they really have your best interests at heart, or do they use this to do further dog whistling re: EU migration?
In this hostile environment, minorities of all types need to stand united. Use your votes wisely on the 3rd of May, so that the hostile environment is weakened, and appalling situations as we have seen with #Windrush do not happen again.
And please do read proper reporting on these issues by investigative journalists like @ameliagentleman, not the opportunistic commentators who use this to promote anti-Romanian feelings in our society.
