GVPL is working to include diversity, reconciliation, and inclusion in policies, programming, & developing collections.

Talked about the importance of saying and hearing Indigenous language words, scubas the sxʷeŋxʷəŋ təŋəxʷ James Bay branch.
It's all about relationship building & it's important to do it in person. We are used to email, but for this you need to take the time to meet & talk.
Take the time to find out practices of every group you work with, and do not assume that one Indigenous group has the same needs or interest as another group.
