Consider that according to (admittedly crude) estimates, authorities are only detecting around 5-10% of all contraband. The trafficking networks can take this hit - they have done over decades of seizures.
Suggested question for journalists: “What investigative enquiries have been made, and intelligence considered, across DRC, Singapore and Vietnam, into the shipping industry, all other entities, comparison with similar seizures, to identify the perpetrators of this heinous crime?”
