The FBI thwarted a plot by a Right-wing militia to violently overthrow the gov., kidnap Michigan's Democrat Gov. Whitmer, and submit her to a "trial" for treason. They echoed Right-wing media propaganda in calling her a "tyrant" for mask mandates.

The conspiracy included visits to her home and training with firearms and explosive devices. The plot mainly involved six Right-wing conspirators rebelling against virus precautions. But it goes beyond that.
They wanted to create a "self-sufficient" society free from what they called unconstitutional state governments and discussed plans to storm the Capitol and take hostages, according to FBI documents filed in court.
