Home Secretary Sajid Javid & Policing Minister Nick Hurd both publicly criticised Lush #spycops campaign for verbally criticising police. When hundreds of far-right physically attack police on the streets: nothing.
54 #spycops have been named. Two of them briefly spied on the far right. Many more were deployed, and for longer, in anti-racist groups. The political policing has a political focus.
A leaked email from the head of the #spycops units said the EDL weren't considered domestic extremists. Around the same time, Climate Camp was described by spycop managers as 'sitting in the priority area' of domestic extremism.
