Findings from a new Harvard-Harris poll conducted by former Clinton pollster and strategist Mark Penn are highly unlikely to get much of a coverage in MSM outlets. You will see why.
Sent Home: 64% (83% Rep, 47% Dem, 66% Ind)
Allowed to Stay: 36%
Sent Home: 61% (81% Rep, 40% Dem, 66% Ind)
Allowed to Stay: 39%
OTOH, 55% (76% Rep, 39% Dem, 55% Ind) said illegal immigrant families should be held in custody "until a judge reviews their case" — essentially the new Trump family detention policy.
To that end, 80% (84% Rep, 79% Dem, 78% Ind) favored hiring more immigration judges "to process people in custody faster."
That's not all. Penn's polling also found other results broadly favorable to the Trump approach to immigration. Let us review them too.
Stricter: 70% (92% Rep, 51% Dem, 69% Ind)
Looser: 30%
Support the barrier: 60% (92% Rep, 39% Dem, 54% Ind)
Oppose the barrier: 40%
Inadequate: 61% (73% Rep, 49% Dem, 60% Ind)
Adequate: 39%
Limited to persecution: 55% (70% Rep, 41% Dem, 58% Ind)
"Should cities that arrest illegal immigrants for crimes be required to notify immigration authorities or be prohibited from notifying immigration authorities?"
Required to notify authorities: 84% (94% Rep, 76% Dem, 83% Ind)
Favor: 63% (66% Rep, 63% Dem, 59% Ind)
"They want to solve the problem of illegal immigration, not keep kicking the can down the road."
The END
69% (78% Rep, 59% Dem, 73% Ind) said ICE should not be abolished.
[I somehow missed this question.]
