1. Sick to the back teeth of hearing the PM stating vaccous nonsense in Parl incl that she is implementing what the BritishPeople voted for.

No politician can now say what the People want..she has no right to subvert a false Will of the Ppl to her own Party political interest
2. She states 80% of ppl voted for parties backing #Brexit. This is arrogant rubbish as proven by any research undertaken. Many votes were tactical & a multi issue GE can't be taken as backing a given version or indeed any version. She lost her mandate Labour didn't win one!
3. There's only 1 way to determine the present majority Will of the Ppl & that's to give us a #FinalSay via a #PeoplesVote.
It must be BINDING
It must be a SIMPLE MAJORITY
It must be BINARY
Accept #Brexit Deal/No Deal OR
#Reject #Revoke #Remain #Reform
Nothing else can be valid

I just had my 400th response, so: statistics time!
Out of 400 submissions I have had 26 acceptances, 6.5%. That's pretty good! I feel good about that!

(We'll come back to this figure, though)

For the last 24 hours I've been texting & calling with refugees in Libya. 500 are apparently stuck in a Tripoli prison w/o food & water after heavy fighting broke out two days ago. They say their guards ran away, leaving them alone.
These refugees are men, women & children. They tried to cross the Mediterranean earlier this year, but were found by Italian boats, who turned them over to the EU-backed Libyan coastguard, who put them in prison. The conditions were already terrible before the fighting started.
Oh the phone earlier I could hear children crying & what sounded like bombing in the distance. The refugees say everyone's incredibly frightened. "We hear machine guns, tanks, big bombs, last night from the roof it was all fire."

1. Blairites have had more than enough chances. After their botched coup against Jeremy Corbyn in 2016, he handed out an olive branch gave them jobs in the Shadow Cabinet.

What have they done since?

Plotted and schemed behind his back and voted against him in Parliament
2. When Blairites led the NEC they purged hundreds of enthusiastic pro-Corbyn members and banned new members voting in internal elections, yet as soon as someone mentions “deselection” Blairites panic and accuse their opponents of bullying - and in some case antisemitism
3. Blairites continuously attack Jeremy Corbyn, his supporters and Momentum, yet expect their support in local and parliamentary elections. Momentum should refuse to campaign for toxic candidates who are nothing more than self-indulgent Red Tories

I don't think people younger than about 30 really understand how far left the country has moved on LGBTQ issues in just their lifetimes.
In 2004, George W. Bush barely won re-election. The strategy that pushed him over the top? Anti-Same-Sex-Marriage referenda in critical states, the brainchild of Karl Rove. The right turned out in droves to keep gay people from getting married, and gave Dubya a second term.
The Joy Reid articles in question were from one year later -- 2005. This was three years before California -- California! -- would pass Proposition 8, even as they elected Barack Obama by a wide margin.

1. In 1989, David Cameron defied international sanctions to go on a jolly to apartheid South Africa on a trip funded by a firm that lobbied against the imposition of sanctions on the apartheid regime. He apologised 17 years later
2. In a 2002 column for the Daily Telegraph, Boris Johnson described black people as “piccaninnies” with “watermelon smiles”. He apologised six years later in 2008 (when running to be London Mayor). No disciplinary action was taken by the Conservative Party at any point.
