Honor Thy Ancestors:
The blood of your Ancestors surges through your veins.

Perhaps they were Kings, maybe they were slaves.

Regardless, it’s now in your hands to continue their legacy, or change it for the better.
A strong Will runs in my family, especially the European side.

We’re some of the most stubborn people I’ve ever met in my life.

Last year I learned why.
My great great grandfather was quite a prestigious gentleman.

He began selling newspapers at 7, eventually becoming the President of the Photographers Association for three consecutive years.

Something, something 32°.

WWI veteran.

There’s likely much more I don’t know.
During WWI he and his platoon were hunkered down in a trench waiting on reinforcements.

To my knowledge, they weren’t engaged in active combat, just simply waiting on back-up.
His platoon was caught off-guard, ambushed, and quickly slaughtered.

There was only one soldier who managed to survive.

How else do you think I know this story?
I’ve no idea how many men he killed, or how many last breaths he witnessed.

But what I do know is that Man was a Warrior.

True Will incarnate.

And I will not dishonor that by settling for anything less than greatness in my life.
Just like in the movies; he piled corpses, and possibly even soon to be corpses, on top of him.

The enemy soldiers confirmed kills with bayonet strikes, some of which managed to hit him.

Eventually his reinforcements arrived to find an entire platoon dead, save for one Warrior.
That Man survived through his Will & Power.

His legacy continued on because of his superhuman efforts.

It’s not a joke when I say that I Honor my Ancestors.

It was through his pure determination that I was given the gift of life.

And for that, I am forever grateful.
