Do Girls Mature Earlier than Boys?

Is it Scientific? Or Just a Social Construct?

Girls actually Mature earlier than Boys,it is a Scientific and Cultural fact

Here's why,

Girl hit puberty earlier than boys, at this stage you body starts preparing for the possibility of having and raising a child.

There is an increase in the "woman" hormones

With puberty and its corresponding physical change, there also are many emotional and psychological changes that a woman experiences.
It is also during this time that the gray matter develops in a woman's brain.
Social awareness sets in during this whole process.

Now get this!-This is the point where we can define maturity, as the minds of both men and women diverge; which is puberty.

It is the point where society starts implying the perspective that may define them as mature or not.

I mean have we heard of comparisons of maturity of a 4 yr old girl & boy? No.

Mainly, because maturity, is envisioned, only after a girl or a boy reach puberty.
So, get the point why early puberty in girls is an important factor in why women mature faster than men.

Then there is the concept of "Women Rights".

This subconsciously means that in a "Male Dominated World", Women have to be more socially, spiritually and mentally aware to excel

However is it all Hormonal- No

It is Anatomical as well

Research has shown that the brain structure for men and women is different.

A woman's brain has more neural connectors from the limbic to the prefrontal cortex (thinking brain).

In the thinking brain, we analyze, experience, learn, and create emotions

Hence it can be deduced that Women are more Sensitive and Expressive.

Sensitive and Expressive, How does this mean Mature?

Expression gives you greater freedom to be oneself and makes us value emotions better.

Girls can sort out issues that are seemingly too practical for boys to face.

They have a warmth, understanding and a different perspective from the norm, due to thier increased ability to learn from experiences

They are more self conscious, more aware, more Sexual (Yes,Girls like and enjoy sex more)

Develop better understanding and deeper sense of attachment.

Mature yea?

Girls develop finer skills ; Self control,Morals and social values while boys are out kicking about a ball.

In society being thoughtful,wise and social conscious is considered maturity. Isnt it?

As a footnote,
Maturity, depends on your perception.Some people dont consider the above ,as Mature.

But as yourself who is more likely to be seen at 15 ,doing something deemed an embarrassment in public,Boy or Girl?

Obviously this is based on Majority as there are incredibly mature 11 yr old boys and seemingly immature 16 yr old girls.

And other factors come into play, Environment, Family, Education, Social Status etc.
