Konstantin Nikolaev a Russian billionaire with US investments backed Maria Butina, according to a person familiar with her Senate testimony - a spokesman said Nikolaev was in contact with Butina as she launched a pro-gun rights group in Russia 2012-2014

Nikolaev is on the board of American Ethane, a Houston ethane company that was showcased by President Trump at an event in China last year, and his son Andrey, who is studying in the United States, volunteered for the 2016 Trump campaign

Manafort filing is not properly redacted & one section mentions:

"the Government’s allegation that Mr. Manafort lied about sharing polling data with Mr. Kilimnik related to the 2016 presidential campaign."
Kilimnik not only worked with Manafort, he also formed a company in 2015 with Sam Patten, who was a contractor for Cambridge Analytica

There's no evidence Kilimnik worked with Cambridge Analytica, but why would Kilimnik review US election polling data?...

JD Gordon once said Trump campaign was too disorganized to collude with Russians. Yet he fell right into Butina's honey pot. As I've said before, disorganized and stupid coupled w/ desperation is precisely what made team Trump easy prey for Russian spies.
A simple google search would make you wonder about #Butina. Gun rights are an absurdity in Russia, where more basic rights are lacking. She hangs with Torshin, a Kremlin banker w/ mob ties. But instead of calling FBI, Trump aide Gordon invites her to drinks & a Styx concert (yup)

Maria Butina, 29, a Russian citizen residing in DC, was arrested on July 15, 2018, in Washington, D.C., and made her initial appearance this afternoon before Magistrate Judge Deborah A. Robinson in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
She was ordered held pending a hearing set for July 18, 2018.
