Crazy how whenever one of these lying jackals leaves the country they get a taste of what a free press sounds like.

This is what every interview with Sean Spicer, and really any elected Republican, should sound like.
Our news media and news consumers have been captured by a canard that 'news' is a neutral presentation of both sides, divorced from any consideration of discernment regarding knowable truth and provable lie.

Liars have become addicted to the advantage this provides them.
It's a weakness. Spicer is particularly weak anyway, but look at him: he has no idea how to deal with a reporter who is just telling him the simple truth that he is a corrosive liar and we all know it.

Our liars have become soft and flabby in this age of "both sides."
Trump & Co are so certain that our society is captured by undiscerning "both sides" worship, they actually make the case Trump is being victimized by bias, because federal investigators, WHO ARE INVESTIGATING HIM, are biased to think he did the thing for which they investigate.
He's done it with judges who rule against him. "It's a biased so-called judge," he moans.

Fool, it's not the 'both sides' judge. It's not the 'we report, you decide' courtroom. Judges *judge* you stupid soft flappy-headed forest root eating bridge troll you.
My point is: they're feasting on American society's slavish devotion to 'both sides,' a position that's attractive precisely because it excuses anyone holding it from having to defend a position.

But it also makes them extremely vulnerable to someone with conviction.
A person on TV who presents as a journalist holds a public trust. They should be absolutely terrified at the notion they might let a single lie pass unchecked, and they should be absolutely indifferent to the notion that anyone might accuse them of bias for such behavior.
Instead of, you know, the other way around.

Good morning.
I'm being informed that actually everything is bad everywhere. So be it.

Nevertheless, that BBC interviewer was on point and an example of how it should always go down. So shines a good deed in a weary world.
