1.62 Å from the first post-installation test dataset of our Krios @UTokyo_News_en. Thanks to the superpowers of #Relion3, @SjorsScheres @biochem_fan. Also thanks to a great apoferritin prep by Yanagisawa-san from @mkikkawa lab.

Trefoil (threefold astigmatism) visible in the phase difference plot from #Relion3 CtfRefine. This makes me believe that in the future higher order aberrations will be correctable in software .
The sample was mouse heavy chain Fth1 expressed in BL21(DE3) E.coli cells.
Forgot to mention, with Relion 2 the dataset reached 1.93 A. The Bayesian polishing in #Relion3 improved it to 1.8 A and then CtfRefine gave the final boost to 1.62 A. These new features are amazing!!! @SjorsScheres
