This one's a bit odd: I recently learned some of my friends (unbeknownst to me) got a hold of my Reddit account, and were aghast that I endorsed posts on r/the_Donald
Sadly, this has apparently caused (again, unbeknownst to me before tonight), tension in my friendships. My response: I surround myself with good people. If your politics don't align with mine, it's really not important.
What matters is whether you ultimately are a good person or not. We can disagree on HOW to help people, but we both agree that we SHOULD help people.
Hurts to say, but (acknowledging they might have found my Twitter account, since I don't hide it): if you are so close minded that my disagreeing with you hurts our friendship, then you can just deal with it. I know good people are more valuable than people who agree with me.
