In this video Bird downplays Labour antisemitism, talking about false accusations and ‘witch-huntery’.
2/13 ‘Just Jews’ previous video featured JVL member, Cllr Sue Lukes. She made similar claims about not witnessing antisemitism, but her story had inconsistencies. Similar claims by JVL leaders have also been disproved
3/13 ‘Just Jews’ claim they are “broadening the debate”. But this is clearly untrue - three out of their four videos feature JVL members, all downplaying antisemitism as you’d expect.

2/12 Politically active, Ben is co-chair of Sheffield Labour Students and regional officer for Redbridge Young Labour. At the Union of Jewish Students (UJS) he seconded a proposal to boycott Israel.
3/12 Ben went to the JVL counter rally, in opposition to the ‘enough is enough’ demo against Labour antisemitism by the Jewish community.

There he screamed in the faces of Jewish people objecting to antisemitism.

Like other JVL members, Mendick also has a history of problematic comments regarding Labour antisemitism

1) So I went to a different synagogue today and heard from one of the great #Jewish thinkers, leaders, scholars, good souls of our time, Rabbi Joseph Telushkin.

It is hard to overstate his influence but let's just say this was once in a lifetime.

2) Rabbi Telushkin was the scholar-in-residence at Congregation Beth Sholom in Potomac, Maryland. That means he gave multiple talks, Friday night, during services, after services, and again just before Havdalah (ritual ending the Sabbath).

I got to hear two of the talks.
3) Why should you care about this when there are more important things happening in the world?

I would argue that we spend a lot of time talking about the bad actors that have invaded our culture. We should talk about the good ones, more.

Just a short thread on yesterday's protest outside Parliament about antisemitism in the Labour party, which I attended, because I'm already seeing some people try to twist the narrative...
2) I'm already hearing stuff about the protest was "so small", "no-one turned up because it's a non-issue."

I don't think such people understand that for the Jewish community, that (1000+) was a BIG protest, given 48 hours notice & the fact we're a few days away from Passover.
3) Then there's this. What's really happening is that non-Jews are looking at what the vast majority of the Jewish community is saying, then at what these useful idiots at the fringes are saying, & going "ok, well, we believe the vast majority, not you."
