On September 21, 2016, Christopher Steele contacted Bruce Ohr and said he was in Washington, DC for scheduled meetings. Steele and Bruce then met with each other on September 23, 2016 for breakfast.

As Jonathan Winer said in his opinion piece for The Washington Post, Winer and Steele met in Washington in September to discuss the dossier, where Winer reviewed the documents. Winer then prepared a 2 page summary for Victoria Nuland.

Also note that on September 23, 2016 was the day that Michael Isikoff - using Christopher Steele as a source - dropped the article "U.S. intel officials probe ties between Trump adviser and Kremlin" for Yahoo! News, which the FBI uses.

Since @jimsciutto doesn't understand that Christopher Steele was hired in June 2016 and the contract between Fusion GPS and Free Beacon ended before then, and that the first memo was written for June 20, 2016, I will explain it:

Christopher Steele was hired to write the dossier.
The fact that @CNN and @jimsciutto keep saying that Republicans funded the dossier would join with @Comey's idea that Republicans funded the dossier, which is completely incorrect.
You know, it's not the first time @jimsciutto has claimed that parts of the dossier have been verified. This was back in February 2017 though. I wonder who his source is?
