My name is Carl Lewis Kwendo.

On Wednesday 4th July 2018 evening, I noticed that I was losing my right eye vision/sight - small fonts appeared blurred on the phone and computer; this was unusual to me.

I thought I was exhausted and needed some rest only to wake up the following day in the same situation. I took time to observe myself before I could visit an optician.

As days passed by, the right eye kept on losing its vision. I visited Lions Eyesight Hospital in Loresho for eye check up and possible treatment. The doctor examined the eye, carried out some tests and the verdict was that my eyes were in good condition.

He thus recommended for an MRI Brain Scan to be done – which revealed that I had a tumor on the right side of the nose that was the main cause of losing the vision.

I was referred to MP Shah Hospital where I got referred to Aga Khan University Hospital for a session with an ENT Specialist. At Aga Khan University Hospital, a biopsy was done and the tumor was found to be cancerous (high grade endocrine carsinoma at stage 4).

By the time the biopsy results were out I had completely lost my right eye vision (20th July).

On 22nd July, I was admitted for 4 days for first chemotherapy treatment.

I am scheduled for my next chemotherapy treatment from Monday 13th to 15th August.

I appeal to everyone to help me raise funds for my treatment and I believe God will see me through this
I have to fight this for my Family,
