2/ First, the @AP is a non-profit. It is not trying to meet insane shareholder demands. It is there to continue it's particular, insanely hard and important mission even as the news gets tougher to report and pay for.
3/ What is that mission? Well the AP has reporters and editor and photojournalists and videographers all over the world, and if every part of the country. It is, along with the BBC, one of the biggest most vital news gathering entities out there.

I would read a media story about why they continue to be so unrelentingly bad at this.
Is it weird AP rules? Is it one terrible editor? Is it a marketplace issue—needing to make content to appease their clients at more conservative papers? Is it just the worst and outdated “both sides” lazy assignment desk? All of the above?
In the actual piece, they lay out other things pretty sensibly. So this could just be a social media editor deciding to highlight the spiciest/worst bit of analysis in their. Whoops

If you don't think there is now, or at some point was, a tape of Trump saying the n-word, you have not been paying attention to America and should turn your TV to that station sometime. I've believed this since multiple contacts with Arnold back in 2017. cbsnews.com/news/new-audio…
2/ I love that Trump told an aide he'd never said the n-word and then immediately asked, "How do you think I should handle it?"...i.e., if a tape of him saying the n-word were released. Listen: you don't have to be a criminal investigator to know what happened there. We all know.
3/ His own spokeswoman: "He said it. He said it."

I'm going to go out on the limb I went out on in 2017 and say *yes*, he said it. There's a back-story to all this that I've heard, but it isn't my area, so I'm just waiting for the truth to come out. Because this did 100% happen.

I'll give you my take on Omarosa: she is a con artist and a fraud.

No one should ever completely trust what she says. Plus, I have my own personal story about dealing with her as a journalist that I have never shared before.
First, Omarosa has proven herself to be a someone who has made a career of creating controversy over being dramatic and extra. She really have no real professional accomplishments beyond being controversial. Yet, she gets media attention. Why? I have a theory.
Omarosa, at her core, is a mercenary. She has no morals or devotion to anyone but herself. You can call her a sellout, but even sellouts are beholden to someone: the white man, black folks, someone.

Not Omarosa. She is beholden to whatever gets her paid. Nothing more.
