@BritishArmy @RoyalNavy @RoyalAirForce @DefenceHQ @Smyth_Chris A log of IT woe makes grim reading & counters MoD insistence that there’s no issue. One GP I spoke to said stress caused when patient care is endangered by computers freezing, printers malfunctioning & data being lost is worse than deploying to Afghanistan

@BritishArmy @RoyalNavy @RoyalAirForce @DefenceHQ @Smyth_Chris Doctors say @DefenceHQ data that only 53 “significant event reports” have been recorded out of 4.8 million GP consultations in the past two years fails to capture true picture. This is because only a fraction of the glitches are officially recorded 1/2
@BritishArmy @RoyalNavy @RoyalAirForce @DefenceHQ @Smyth_Chris GPs say they would have time to do little else if they called up about every IT glitch because there are so many. Also, official recording process takes time (45 mins when a GP is already running late with patients) & when they do flag up a glitch they rarely see improvement 2/2
@BritishArmy @RoyalNavy @RoyalAirForce @DefenceHQ @Smyth_Chris UPDATE @DefenceHQ’s top medic to meet doctors over concerns about IT failures at surgeries that put patients at risk. Surgeon General still insists there’s no widespread problem, which a GP said is “farcical”, adding: “he’s still got his head in the sand”
