From OSU findings: Urban Meyer said he met with both Zach and Courtney Smith after 2009 incident to say arrest based on incorrect info. Courtney Smith denies meeting w/ Urban, never recanted claims. Urban/Shelley thought Courtney "not being entirely truthful when she called 911."
OSU findings: In May 2014, Zach Smith ran up significant bill at Florida strip club along with another Ohio State coach and one or more high school coaches. Meyer knew of incident but not amount racked up, told Smith if it happened again he would be fired.
OSU findings: The 2015 Powell police investigation into Zach Smith first was reported to Ohio State's deputy Title IX coordinator, then Gene Smith, then Urban Meyer. Meyer told Zach Smith "if you hit her, you're fired." Gene Smith told Zach if charges are filed, you're fired.
OSU findings: Shelley Meyer called the Powell police to seek more information about investigation of Zach Smith. Shelley says she didn't relay Courtney Smith's allegations to Urban Meyer because "she had doubts about the veracity of Courtney Smith’s
allegations."
OSU findings: Zach Smith's job performance suffered in 2015 and 2016. Was regularly late to practices and meetings; didn't show up for recruiting visits despite reporting that he had. Gene Smith suggested to Urban Meyer to fire Zach Smith. Meyer decided not to.
OSU findings: "Although it would have been better for Coach Meyer to have informed OSU about Zach Smith’s 2009 arrest, there
was no violation of policy, law or contractual obligation by Coach Meyer in not doing so."
OSU findings: "We also learned ... that Coach Meyer has sometimes had significant memory issues in other situations where he had prior extensive knowledge of events. He has also periodically taken medicine that can negatively impair his memory, concentration, and focus."
