Trump tells Fox that he expects his opponents to try and impeach him (more on this in a minute); as for a stock crash - for generations, the U.S. stock market has shrugged off wars, recessions, assassinations, assorted scandals (including Watergate) and multiple economic cycles
No less an authority than Buffett has long scoffed at folks who make predictions like the one Trump made today. Trump has no proven record of success in the stock market; e.g. saying - before the 22% crash (S&P) in '87 that it was a great time to buy (it was great the day after)
As for impeachment, that may sound good to many Dems, but important to remember that even if they own the House next year and are able to do so, Trump - absent 67 Senate votes, 67 - isn't going anywhere; impeachment could also just energize Trump's rabid base heading into 2020 /1
Even if Democrats also take the Senate (maybe a 50-50 chance), they would need a substantial number of Republican votes to get to 67 - the threshold needed to convict and remove a President from office. GOP Senators won't criticize him for anything - now (Sorry, VP Pence)
