Here is our oh so virtuous Prime Minister Justin Trudeau singing the praises of Canadian food company Paramount which serves and butchers halal meat, 💰💰💰

Animals must also be stunned before slaughter under Canadian law.

However Canada allows an exemption for ritual slaughter due to religious beliefs and the number of animals killed without stunning appears to be on the rise.

The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) opposes halal slaughter on grounds of unnecessary cruelty & suffering.
