1. "Sore Throat" Chronicles

Codename of source for NY Times anonymous editorial : "Sore Throat."
Sore Throat is hoarse because it doesn't have a body. It's a composite of many "voices in the head" of Trump opponents, desperate to sow dissension in the White House.
2. The op-ed is highly likely a work of fiction, created by a professional to sound overly unprofessional to make it look real. No real person can be so disjointed while claiming to be "principled." A really seditious "senior administration official" would be more logical.
3. Let us look at some of the points made by Sore Throat which seem to be concocted by body parts a lot lower than a brain. Sore Throat starts off by describing a "dilemma."
4. Does this sound like a dilemma? Treason, yes. Sedition, yes. But dilemma? Are there any dilemmas that one "does not grasp?" What are the horns of this dilemma really? To have a sedition or not to have a sedition, because both are equally painful? Sore Throat is brilliant!
5. Sore Throat is grateful for what President Trump has done ...
6. But Sore Throat just doesn't like the way the President does his thing, because "the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic."
7. But worry not, Sore Throat knows precisely what's wrong with the President. And it is this: "The root of the problem is the president’s amorality. Anyone who works with him knows he is not moored to any discernible first principles that guide his decision making."
8. There's more. The president is not sufficiently conservative.

"Although he was elected as a Republican, the president shows little affinity for ideals long espoused by conservatives."

So Sore Throat is a champion for NeverTrumpism.
9. But Sore Throat doesn't want to be thought of as a garden variety NeverTrumper. Sore Throat is fair and balanced.
10. But far it be from Sore Throat to give Trump any credit. Apparently, Hillary would have done better. It's all about style.
"But these successes have come despite — not because of — the president’s leadership style, which is impetuous, adversarial, petty and ineffective."
11. It's awfully hard for Sore Throat and buddies to stage a successful coup when the president is so unpredictable and won't stick to a plan long enough for Sore Throat & team to foil it.
12. Here's another complaint. The President has actually hired people who are supposed to advise him and prevent him from making avoidable mistakes using their expertise, and gosh darn it, they actually take their jobs seriously. WTF!
13. But worry not. NY Times to the rescue. Read this and tell me with a straight face that this doesn't sound like the NY Times editorial board speaking through a Sore Throat. You can't, because it is.
14. Oh, by the way, invocation of the 25th Amendment was a bust, but only because Sore Throat and team are too noble to be competent. Once again, you have to keep in mind that this is the NY Times editorial board speaking through a Sore Throat.
15. You want additional evidence that this ain't no real person in the administration, but someone at NY Times headquarters, look no further than this paragraph. No whistle-blower, anonymous or otherwise, puts their outburst on pause to suddenly lecture Americans on civility.
16. And now for the real ask. Remember, in liberal parlance, the phrase "reaching across the aisle" has never ever, ever, meant anything other than Republicans voting in favor of Democrats. So here is the midterm election exhortation.
