Roger Stone frienemy @CredicoRandy is appearing before the grand jury right now.

Though you may be distracted by stories about his dog appearing with him, here's a recap of what we know...

1. Mueller is likely interested in Credico because Stone called him his "backchannel" to @wikileaks.

Though @CredicoRandy interviewed @JulianAssange multiple times and is fiercely loyal to him, he has vehemently denied being a middleman b/t Wikileaks and Stone.

2. Before Stone outed Credico as his backchannel, he described him to the House Intel Committee as "a go-between, as an intermediary, as a mutual friend. It was someone I knew had interviewed Assange."

*But a date in the exchange- Aug 12- is notable...

3. Credico says he didn't talk to or have a relationship w/ Assange until Assange first did his radio show on Aug. 25, 2016. (He has emails that lend credence to his claim.) wbai.org/upcomingprogra…

By that date, Stone had already made a number of claims of contact with Assange..

Aug 4- Stone wrote “I dined with my new pal Julian Assange last nite" in email wsj.com/articles/roger…

Aug 8- Stone told Fla GOP group he had communicated w/Assange

Aug 12- Stone told Alex Jones he had a “foreshadowing” of WikiLeaks info

5. Stone has told me that he assumed Credico was in touch with Assange before that Aug 25th radio interview, however, because Credico is close with Wikileaks adviser Margaret Kunstler

6. To make things more complicated, there's an email b/t Stone & Credico in which Stone specifically seeks info from Assange.

On 9/18/16, Stone wrote: “Please ask Assange for any State or HRC e-mail from August 10 to August 30..."

7. Stone says this email backs up his claim that Credico was his go-between.

Credico says nothing came of the email, and that he never passed the request along to Assange. He has suggested that Stone was simply trying to cover his tracks.

8. There's another thing Mueller is likely looking at: messages from Stone to Credico that appear threatening or harassing. Here are some we reported on, though there are many.

Stone said he was only warning Credico against defaming him, Credico thinks he was being threatened.

9. Credico & Stone have spent a great deal of time slamming each other on TV, and they've even thanked each other for publicity.

We don't have the full picture, but we do know one thing: Mueller has texts, emails, phone records, documents and now, Credico's testimony.
