I was substitute teaching, trying to get my teaching career going. I wouldn’t let the kids watch any coverage because I honestly thought it was a accident.
The gas station had a line about a half mile long. I didn’t fill up.
When I got home my brand new wife was worried I was in the verge of getting drafted.
We had no cable or internet (poor newlyweds) so we got all our information from the radio. (Yes, an actual radio)
On September 12 everyone had a flag in their yard. Everyone painted everything red white and blue.
It’s really sad to see what it takes to unite the United States of America.
Maybe we could try coming together without a national tragedy.
