Option 2 is to return to Canada style TA if EU backs down on the Ireland border. The EU won't, and want a Canada style FTA anyway. So 2 conclusions - 1st that the conservative party still can't solve their EU civil war, and until they do nothing can be solved 2/
Second, media and politicians are still clueless on the Ireland border. I think there may be an ERG report on it later. At best if you build trust over years you may be able to work towards flexible solutions over 5-10-20 years. That is fact 3/
Unlike the ERG and those dismissing the Irish border as irrelevant to Brexit I have engaged on it here as I also don't agree with the current EU proposals. There are options. But they don't fit the ideology. So guess what wins? 4/ ends
PS the better option might be for all towns of the UK to declare independence on EFT 'world-trade deal' terms. We'll all be rich... as @DmitryOpines has calculated, sorry invented. It's as credible as the @Econs4FreeTrade report
