Strong eye contact
Shoulders back
Mouth closed
Chin up
Feet shoulder width
Pen in pocket
Use hand movements & Talk
Open palm
Touch-elbow, shoulder
Ask open ended questions
Listen/Relate
Strong handshake (Underhand grip)
Optimistic attitude
(BIG THREAD)
No darting eyes while in conversation
Someone talks to you, hold eye contact
Slightly squint while they talk, shows you’re listening
**eye contact mandatory when shaking hands
No one wants to look like the hunched back of Notre dame
Also, look at every world leader...
What’s their posture like?
Strong, shoulders back
Plus it instantly enhances your mood positively
Stick that chest out proudly
Bro, close that damn mouth when working the room 😂
No one wants to see drool or feel your hot breathe melting their skin
Close your mouth, slightly clinch jaw when in the group
...open when your respond
Simple one here
Chin up oozes confidence
Keep your chin slightly raised (+Shoulders back =👑)
Keep your chin down when you’re fighting, not socializing
Just keep your feet shoulder width
Too close together you become extremely off balance, too far apart to become some sort of insect
Shoulder width is just fine
Write this down for me?
Sign this million dollar contract?
Oh waittttt.... you forgot your pen!!
Having a pen ready shows that you’re prepared
It’s important
Carry a pen everyday
Also makes a good weapon, just in case
Imagine watching someone speak that kept their hands at side the entire talk
Robotic? Yup
Move a little
Move the hands, arms and express your point with movement
It breaths life into what you’re trying to say
When you open your palms, you’re more relaxed & more trust worthy
Especially when people are looking at you
Imagine having clinched fist while talking...
It’s tense, aggressive and conveys a different message then the one you intended to get across
Simple:Builds rapport quickly
Quickly touch the elbow, forearm or shoulder while talking to someone, laughing or when trying to make a point
The quicker you build rapport, the quicker you’ll develop that relationship
Touch builds comfort
Don’t grip
Don’t ask boring yes or no questions
Ask things like...
“So what made you decide to study law?”
“If you had to travel somewhere in the world, where & why?”
“What made you get into that field?”
It makes you more interesting + you can relate .......
If you’re asking open ended questions and relating to someone’s response, they will feel more comfortable with you
If they feel comfortable w/ you, they’ll like you
Listen to what THEY say, relate to their experiences with YOUR own experiences
Don’t walk up to a group of people and hand them a dead fish for a hand shake
Let them know YOUR here now
Here’s how:
Twist hand (palm up)
Don’t extend hand to far, elbow at waist
Grip hand (Your palm up)
Slowly squeeze, eye contact
Slight tilt towards you
Walk into the venue like you’re a damn GOD
Brainwash yourself into believing that you own the venue & these are just your guests
Believe it in every interaction
Irrational self confidence & belief in yourself is the most important step in this thread
Get out there and kill it
