Now Bauer says he is "praying for the accuser" but that ... it happened 36 years ago and both witnesses denied it happened... "I don't know her, I don't know her values but what she's saying unproven and I would argue unprovable." #VVS18
Bauer adds that "we do have proof of Judge Kavanaugh's character... he was nothing other than a perfect gentleman to me," he claims women Kavanaugh dated say. #VVS18
Bauer says no one wants to live in a country where sexual assault is okay. But we "shouldn't want a country where after a lifetime of decency the man in your life can be ruined by someone saying 36 years ago he did this to me. That is not what our country is about."
He adds: "where does Judge Kavanaugh go to get his reputation back?" #VVS18 He warns that "if this tactic works no one with our values will be willing... to subjet [themselves] to this ordeal."
Bauer goes on to say that those opposed to Kavanaugh "don't believe in the Constitution." #VVS18 "They don't believe in civility, they don't believe in the rule of law... this is about stopping one good and decent man."
Closing, Bauer says when Kavanaugh is confirmed in a few weeks, conservatives will not just be celebrating one night, "but we will be celebrating for the next thirty years." #VVS18
